Applying Simple Text Effects using Adobe Photoshop CS4

In Adobe Photoshop CS4 you can do an amazing effects in your text to make it attractive and cool looking. If you are a beginner it hard for you to apply an effect in your text if you don’t know what is the effects you are going to apply.

In this tutorial, I will show you on how to put a simple text effects. Here are the following steps to be followed.

Step 1- You are going to create a Drawing Canvass with size 2416 pixels by 762 pixels with the resolution of 300 pixels/inch.

Step 2 – Just unlock the background layer and apply a color overlay layer style with Black Color on it.

Step 3 – By using Text Tool type anything you want in your drawing canvass with Impact font style.

Step 4 – Steady in your Text Tool and highlight your text, use CTRL + T shortcut keys to display the Text Properties and select Italic (I).

Step 5 – In your Layer Palette, select the layer of your Text then click FX that is found at the bottom of your Layer Palette and the Layers Style window will appear.

Step 6 – As your Layers Style appears, drag the Layers Style window into the right side to the preview of the effect(s) that you apply, don’t forget to check the preview check-box.

Step 7 – Just apply Drop Shadow, Outer Glow, Bevel and Emboss, Gradient Overlay Effects, simply see the screenshots below for you further guide.

The Finish Output:

After applying all the styles, you can your file as picture like PSD, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and many more.

You can also choose or select your own Color Scheme if you want. 

How to create a Drawing Canvass in Adobe Photoshop – PSBasic for Beginner

Step 2 – Another window will appear, in this window here you can set the size of your Drawing Canvass. Just see the screenshot below… After you have done putting your desire size, just click OK.
